Undoubtedly education should be encouraged. But does an education have any value if it does not have any utility? Many things that we learnt in our school and colleges have no use in practical life. Then why did we study them? Was it wastage of time?

Spread of useless education will only maximize the number of unemployed youths in the country.

A person should be left free to take up any education after school as per interest. Science, sports, music, handicrafts etc. Traditional college education should not be compulsory for everyone.

Government encourages for spread of education. It is campaigning in favor of it. But actually it should be a campaign for the spread of useful education. People should also be free from such false pre-assumptions that traditional college degree is a basic necessity.

I know an incident where a student who passed out from NDA was called a 12th passed as his educational qualification. But the person who made this comment did not understand that in NDA, the student studied for 3 years which is equivalent to a bachelor degree. For most of the people in our country, only education in traditional college is called educational qualification. What a wrong notion the people have!

This is a phenomenon endemic in whole of India, except for few countable institutes which train students for something practical and useful making them job ready. But rest of the institutes impart only bookish knowledge, only guiding them to secure marks and pass the examination. The motive, direction and practical use of education is lacking big time in education and we need to change this at the earliest!
