It's not only Daman and Diu that the main occupation of people are agriculture but in fact all the people around the nation are indulged in to farming and agriculture and you will be amazed to know that most of the indian economy which is becoming strong day by day is the result of those hard working farmers who work on the land day and night with full determination and dedication comes from the agriculture.

Daman and Diu are largely known as the tourist places. The economy was largely dependent upon the tourism and small scale industries in these places, but eventually large companies are also growing up during the course of time. Fishing and agriculture always remained a source of income to the locals which are also a substantial contributors to the Economy of Daman and Diu.
