Most of the economy of this state depends on fishing and agriculture. The GDP of D&D amounted almost 156 million dollars in 2004. Agriculture considered to be the most important sector that enhances the economy of this place. The entire land under agriculture sector turns out to be 3,727 hectares that is almost 68% of Daman and Diu’s area.
