Sikkim suffered an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 on Richter scale. The epicenter of the quake was supposedly about 64 kms away from Gangtok. The quake has taken away 20 lives, leaving several hundreds injured. More can be expected after the quake because the area is hilly so there could be chances of landslides which could cause more damage.
