The economic condition of India is becoming poorer with the passing time and the constant hike in fuel price is adversely affecting the existing economy. The recent hike in Diesel price cannot be justified when the economic condition of the country is poor. The diesel price hike will adversely affect the economy of the nation making it more worse. What are your views in this regards?

The high inflation and deficit budget is the reason for hike in petroleum prices. The majority of Indian population is poor and this constant hike is creating problem for survival. The recent hike in diesel price is not at all justified. There has been a constant hike in fuel prices in the recent time which is making the economic condition of the nation worse. Hike in fuel price to meet the high inflation and fiscal deficit is not justified.

Hike in diesel price cannot be justified seeing the poor economy of the nation. About 37% of the Indian population is still below poverty line. The government justifies it by saying that it is to meet the fiscal deficit that India has been facing. However, with the reformation of economic policies and with a few correct decisions on the part of Government, this problem can be solved.
