Once again the diesel price goes up by Rs5 per liter which excludes value added taxes will be in effect from Friday midnight. The constant hike in diesel price has brought in adverse effect on the economy of the nation as it leads to price rise of other essential commodities like food items etc as well as makes transportation costlier. In last two years, the price of diesel has been raised twice. There seems to be no affect on the Government even if the allies and the opposition parties are protesting against it. Nevertheless, the Prime Minister has also decided to cut down the excise duty on petrol by Rs. 5.50 a litre from Rs. 14.78, adjusting the recent hike in international crude prices, which have touched $114 per barrel. My question is how will the common man deal with the constant price rise?
According to the Government, this price rise is in order to meet the high inflation that India is going though at present. The hike in fuel price leads to price rise in every other commodities as the transportation cost increases. This has affected the lives of common men and it is becoming hard to deal with the constant price hike. The income is constant but due to price rise, the expenditure increases and this is making the lives of common man difficult. They should protest against this constant price hike which is the only way to stop from further hike.
The recent rise in diesel price has created havoc in the lives of common man. The price rise of diesel has resulted in price rise of other commodities as it includes the cost of transportation of goods. It has become difficult for the common man and many cases of suicide due to unable to meet the needs of day-to-day life due to price rise has been reported. Government should take steps to put an end to the constant price rise.
