Dial Up Connection is a way to access internet using the facilities of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a dialed connection to an Internet service provider (ISP) through telephone lines. Dial-up connections to the Internet require no infrastructure other than the telephone network. Dial-up connections are not good as compared to broadband connections and does not offer high-speed. It is not a very reliable but is preferred in rural areas where broadband has not reached and is also much cheaper as compared to broadband.
