This world of development has taken a giant leap to land acquisition. This act of acquisition is the most painful process; land has turned into commodity. It’s a dual way process: development leading to dispossession to resistance or the other way. Any poor or tribal being disposed of his life is equivalent to depriving him of his life and strength. A vital concept of “unequal power distribution” plays the important role in such issues. The powerful upper class makes the decision, implement them and are also the one getting benefitted. This is the world where marketisation of economy is leading to marketisation of society. Resistance rarely sustains in this world of power and money.
