Is corruption in India at the low level being a barrier to Indian Growth? Can the Government of India work out strategy to increase the salaries of Government employees and also make them more accountable for their work and stringent Indian Laws to Fight Against Corruption. Or if the Govt Official's salaries are increased will it lead them to be more greedy! Bottom line do you think corruption is part of life in India or Can we fight it!!
We can fight against corruption but there should be accountability for every person in all Govt. Office. The main reason for corruption is that there is no accountability. I think increasing salary won't do anything as officers are used to for bribe so they continue to ask bribe and doing wrong work for money.
yes i agree with this statement. people started living with corruption and now that it has grown beyond understanding of common man to the level of huge amounts of money being laundered, we are realizing that we have made a blunder by encouraging such activity. gov workforce is so large that people keep on playing blame game and one comes to the rescue of other unless the higher official is non-corrupt. and there are tiny chances of such finding such non corrupt officials
Corruption has truly become part and parcel of people's life in India. Corruption prevails everywhere and people seems to have accepted it and have started living with it. It is raising rapidly and the measures that has been taken seems to be ineffective. The Government sector is totally corrupt and without taking bribe the government officials do move a file. It is now important for Government to take necessary steps to eradicate corruption. Paying sufficient amount of salary to meet the needs of modern world as well as increasing price of every commodity and most importantly there should be an accountability officer appointed in every department who will be responsible and be accountable for any corruption going on in his or her department.
