Social media have become a part and parcel of people’s life today as it offers platform to people for discussing issues as well as lets people stay connected with their friends and family. Besides these, Social media also plays a huge role in Indian politics today and helps in influencing people. It has been witnessed that both Congress and BJP are putting money in Social media to get votes for the forthcoming elections. What do you think? Is it worth putting money in social media for both the parties?
here we have the congress bjp investing money in social media for their own advantage of gaining more votes...why not use that money for something more useful.....homes for orphans and the poor.....food for the undernourished....development of schools so that education and literacy rates rise....y not use that money for the ill ....or offer scholarships to the prospective future leaders of India.....one day there will be an azad Bharat maa...azad from these corrupt leaders....that is true azadi.....jai bharat maa di!!!
Its just the tug of war between the two parties and they want to test their play over the social media platforms. I feel social media is for those parties which need awareness. New parties can promote themselves and put forward their portfolio and agendas so that people can judge them. Since its a cost effective way to campaign, new parties should take this route. BJP and Congress merely do not want to get kicked out from the race.
Social media is now used by the political parties like BJP and Congress, trying to gain popularity as well as votes. They are putting money for promotion of their parties in Social media sites, which according to me is just a waste of money. These parties are well known to people and also their activities and there is no need to promote themselves in these sites and try to deceive people. Instead they should utilize that money in some good work to get votes. Do you agree?
Your suggestions are really good but lets think for a moment, would these parties go out and do some good instead of spending money on promoting itself and gathering votes? They wouldn't. If they had to, they would not do it in the nick of the moment. I believe social media offers a wider platform and plenty of information regarding the party. In short, social media enables awareness amongst people about the parties. Moreover its cheaper than paying each individual voters. Saves money, builds awareness and is accessible to literate people.
