Chitrakoot is situated in the Northern Vindhya Range of Uttar Pradesh. Chitrakoot is also known as Hill of Many Wonders and is situated on the bank of River Madakini. The place is one of the pilgrimage destinations of India and people from all over the World visits this place for its natural and scenic beauty as it is situated amid the hills and rivers. The place has several mythological stories attached to it and it is believed that Lord Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Lakshman resided here during their exile of eleven and a half years.
