Indian festivals are being celebrated since ancient times by the people in almost similar fashion. So, the changes are inevitable during this long course of time. But the essence of the festivals always prevails no matter how old the festivals are. India is moving towards westernization at a great pace and under such circumstances, do you think our festivals could loose that essence which still prevails in them over the course of time?

Well, in due course of time, may be yes. The transformation of people is drastic. Youngsters who are students now are barely aware of indian culture and traditions. The mobiles, computers, internet are changing the lifestyle of youngsters who spend most their time on social networking or playing games.

India is a huge nation that has diverse culture, races, tribes, languages etc and there exists a huge variety of festivals that are being celebrated in India. Every culture that exist in India celebrates the festivals in their own way and this adds more colour and lure to it. However, it has been witnessed that there are some changes in the festivals rather in the way these festivals are celebrated. It is due to blending of cultures that is quite prevalent today but the essence still continues and will continue to be the same.
