Cannon has launched an entry-level camera series known as PowerShot A. Canon PowerShot A3400 IS features a compact point and shoot option, 5x zoom, 16MP sensor and a touchsensitive screen. The camera is sleek and is available in three colours - black, silver, red and a shade of bronze. The camera comes with a 5x optical lens, AF assist and the LED flash. The rear of the camera has a 3-inch resistive touchscreen with a resolution of approximately 230,000 dots. It has a 16MP sensor and can support a maximum still image resolution of 4608 x 3456. Video recording can be done at HD 720. Images shot with this camera can be stored on SD, SDHC and SDXC card types. The camera is priced at Rs.9,695/- and is good in terms of performance as compared to the other cameras of the same price bracket.
