One Billion Rising is a mass movement across the world by women to put an end to the violence against all the women in the World. It is to be held on 14th February. However, my question is can this mass movement put an end to the violence against women? Will this movement be capable of taking their voice to the policy makers and the lawmakers?

A mass movement is always effective and I am pretty much sure that this movement will definitely have an impact on the society. Not only Indian women but many women in this World fall victim of various kinds of violence. The one billion movement will surely be able to take the voice of women to the lawmakers and policy makers and will be successful in putting an end to the violence against women.

I agree with you that a mass movement is always effective and can definitely bring the required change. However, it is very important that this Worldwide movement does not loose its momentum and then only it will be able to put an end to the increasing violence against women all over the World. In my opinion, this movement should be taken seriously and I believe that it will definitely help our society to change their mindset.

Time and again India has witnessed mass movements against violence against women. However what I believe is the need for a consistent uprising in the form of movement without any fail, for this is the only way by which the voice of women echoed with their sufferings will reach the ears of the legislative and the executives. not only that, the male chauvinists will also tremble and think twice before refuting to violence against females. Moreover India needs to witness the voice of women as a revolutionary voice that has wept silently since ages and has now joined hands, to fight back and make the criminals weep instead.
