After having so many issues in india do you think that india would ever be a developed country? We always keep on saying that by 2020 India will become a super power. Time is running so fast that when this 2020 will come you will never know. I personally do not think that india will be a super power or a developed country anyhow by 2020 and not even by 2050 after seeing the preset situation of the country. There are so many problems that india is facing including the problem of child marriage, corruption, poverty, child abuse, child labor, unemployment, low economic per capita income etc. With so may problems in hand the country ca only try to become a developed nation but cannot be in such a short span of time. What do you think about this issue or matter?

YEs, why not? I think if we think positively then india can surely be a developed country. Which country does not have issues? There are many countries that are going through various problems like ours but still they are working hard to be in the lien of developed countries and they have shown results. Then why can't india fall into such category of countries. Definitely india can be the developed country we just need to make some changes in the system and policies. Rest everything will be fine.

I completely disagree from your thoughts as it is very tough for india to be the super power and a developed country and that too in these coming 5 to 6 years. Never! India needs to change a lot in terms of its policies, development plans and have to deal strictly with the national issues like poverty and unemployment. Until and unless these issues are resolved nothing fruitful can be done and imagining india as a super power or a developed country is a waste of time till then.

@economist: I am not saying that it is easy, but it is not tough either. I guess you have not heard the saying as it goes: where there is a will there is a way! So, according to me may be not in these coming 5 to 6 years but surely in the coming few more years india will be a super power and register its name in to the most developed countries of the world.

India? A developed country? I think people who are in favor are in a joking mood. How can one expects India to be a developed country when public representatives are always looking to cheat public. Scams, corruption, population will never allows that. Even today the voting is done on the basis of caste. The person sitting on the top position is sitting idle on the topic of corruption and scam.
A country where educational loan is expensive than a car loan. How it can make to a developed nation?

I guess it is little bit a tricky question and many people feel wonder on this statement that Will india be ever a developed country? I think it is not the right time to say that india will be a super power or a developed country in coming 10 years at least but I am sure india will definitely be a developed country in the coming 20 to 30 years as of now. India has a potential.

Indeed yes. India can very much be a developed country because it is witnessing a very good growth rate in recent days. Though recently there was a downfall in the markets of US and UK, India remain largely unaffected by the turbulence in the international market. Development is very much on its way, but making the services available to the needy people is where india faces the trouble. Most of the policies and services don't help people out which i think is the main reason why india still seems to be under developed.

Indian societies are changing with the change in time. People are becoming modern year by year. The only difference between developed countries and India is, we have a lot of internal affairs to handle. Whereas developed countries does have internal affairs but they handle their problems and focus on nation's pride. India has chances to become developed nation but it is not very sure.

yes, india can be a developed country but to become one she has to wok hard a lot on various internal issues that are endless in my opinion in india. If a country needs to be developed then it has to be fully concerned about the nations pride and the know how to deal with the internal affairs of the nation. Indians do not have that spirit not even the politicians. But hope is never a bad thing.

Its already on the way to become a developed country. But due to some domestic constraints like political issues and political instability this is taking its own time. If work is distributed by giving attention equally to all the needy domains, we would be very much near to be called as a developed country.

Since the time of Independence, India has witnessed a remarkable development in every field. It is already the third largest economy and it is developing at a fast rate. If every citizen works together than no one can ever stop us from being a super power by 2020. It is in the hands of the citizens of the nation to make it progress and become a Super Power.

Every developing nation faces issues and since India is a developing nation, it also has some issues. However, it cannot be said that because of these issues India cannot be a developed nation. India is developing at a very fast pace and has made remarkable progress in every field be it science, technology, medicine, just to name a few. India has also witnessed notable economic growth since the time of Independence and by seeing the pace of progress and development,it can be said that India is soon going to be a developed nation.

The big hurdle I see in us becoming one is the caste system. People have to work together so that we can become a developed country.

India can definitely be a developed nation with some changes in the social, political and economic aspect. India is already a developing nation and is the fastest developing economy. It is the third largest economy in Asia after China and Japan and has the potential to become a developed country. The issues that India is facing, if addressed properly can change the nation and lead to path of development, progress and growth.

Indian can be a developed nation but this can only be possible by improving the present social, economical and political scenario of the nation. We need better and educated political leaders to improve the present condition of our nation if we really want to see our nation develop and progress. By allowing the youth to join politics and raise their voice against the present issues of the nation, we can become a developed nation soon.
