India our motherland is rich in her culture , religion and her diversities. Many great historians commented India as " Unity in Diversity" . My earnest dream to see our glorious motherland as a super power beside others. I am sure that India will surely achieve its supreme goal. Do you think India is gonna be the next superpower leaving behind china?
Proud to be Indian India is the best. Our nation is far better than any other country and will be the next superpower in 10 years. Vande Matram !
Please do 3 things b4 dreaming superpower Pyare bhai, Please try these before dreaming our country as a super power.... 1) Visit the general ward of your nearby government hospital. 2) See how people catch seats in "SHRAMJEEVI EXPRESS" (Delhi-Patna) train. 3) Enquire the lowest rate of "LIVE MEAT" at any of the red street nearby your town. ......Dreaming of a super power India.........JAI HIND Your brother murali menon
Yes it will be!!! With a bright growth rate, growing literacy and awareness India will be an undisputed super power in the future. For those who complaint about population- well according to me its a resource if properly managed and utilized. And rest, even America, which is considered to be one of the best developed countries in the world has problems. 'Ideal' doesn't exsists.......
india definetly the next superpower India is one of the fastest growing country .the people of india now know their rights .we can becom the superpower only when we win over America so it is very far away from us
Please do not derail the thread. The thread clearly states "Can India become a superpower?" I believe India can become a super-power. It already is in the path of becoming one. For e.g., our PM was the first official guest of the President of the World's most powerful country. There are undoubtedly a lot of constraints that is hindering our progress. The Indian Constitution for one example. These decades old law, copied from the British Constitution should change. There should be quick and radical police reforms. Infrastructure, which is a bane right now should be prioritized by the GOI so that cities can be made more livable. New cities should be created with world class infrastructure. People living in rural areas should be given benefits in the form of easy finance and power. More public-private-govt. partneships should be encouraged. And a lot more. I definitely am seeing changes even though they are very minute and the rate of progress is slow. But I believe, India is on her way to a big transformation.
As goes the saying slow and steady wins the race. India will surely be a superpower. Nothing is impossible to achieve. Just the appropriate way of taking up the things should be considered. The developments and reforms need to rake place as they are planed. And will emerge as a superpower in almost about 50-60 years from now seeing the kind of transformation happening.
My take is India will be counted as a mighty power by 2020. And as being a super power, it's for our politicians to decide which way they want to steer India.
I mean it U are right 'adre'. But Its not in our Politicians hands to decide which way to steer India. Do U know Y did Honorable APJ, said India is going to become a Developed nation by 2020. Its because he knew it, and how did he knew it? and why does our PM continuously say that India is going to become a super power by 2020. Its because he is an Economist and he knows well how can India become a superpower. Our GDP growth rate has been improving and it shall continue to rise and only a nation wide natural calamity can cause it to drop. Our nation's Service sector is what our PM is aiming at. He is much concerned about our Industries but the earnings that India can make form Service sector (telecoms, transportation etc..) is far mightier than the other two sectors (agricultural & Industrial). What did APJ had in his mind?? He had only one thing in his mind that - " Our children know, where the School is and what do they get from there " (comment : other than the afternoon lunch). And about our population.... India is going to become the most populated nation by the end of this decade... And India will enter into a new population scenario(a favorable one) by 2050. And do U know who will be considered responsible for creating such a scenario??... WE!! (our children will be proud of us). (Comment : well we will be forced to change). --- no one at that time will hold on at our culture and heritage, but we have to teach our future--- we have to show them not to spit on road, not to throw garbage on road or at neighbors, we have to show them the way to school, we have to show them the warning " ...... injurious to health ". And the most important one, " tell them who is Mother, a Sister, a Brother, a Father, a Grand ma, Grand Pa"... Do U know why?, only when U tell them that our neighbor is our sister/ brother. Only then they will try to become their Brothers... who shall save our Sisters from those Brothers who were not lucky to know who their Sisters are....
I agree with the WE part I agree with the WE part you mentioned. While I do not completely disagree with your views, I do not completely agree either. When I said India will become a Mighty Power by 2020, I meant the following: 1. Economically Relevant: India already is seen now as an economic powerhouse. By 2020, if and only if reforms continue, India will grow as an economic superpower. Reforms, again depends upon our politicians and there are not too many educated lot there barring cabinet ministers, some of who are honest and capable. 2. Militarily: We have the world’s 2nd largest active standing Army and the largest in terms of Army populace(source:wikipedia), world’s 4th largest Air Force(source:wikipedia), and the world’s 4th largest navy. Military might counts hand in hand with economic might. Economic gains would cease to exist if we cannot secure our borders or defend out nation. Imagine a Pakistan like situation in India, where there are powerful bomb blasts everyday. Who would want to invest in the Indian economy if the GOI cannot ensure safety of its’ people from terrorists from across the border? If we are to become a power by 2020, we ought to hasten our defense procurement at a faster rate than what we have today. Seems pathetic to me! It again depends upon our politicians. 3. Infrastructure: This is the weakest link to India’s progress. Do you want me to add my thoughts on this? I hope not. India’s infrastructure is for everyone to see. There are a lot more points I would have discussed, but the lack of time. In the next 10 years, GOI should open up new fronts for economic reforms; fasten processes which are slow and too bureaucratic. The GOI should invest heavily on defense and modernize our armed forces. With regards to infrastructure, any infrastructure project worth $ 5 million or more should be floated as a global tender and let the best companies bid for these. India becoming a superpower is sure a couple of decades away, however we are on track!
Yes India can be a superpower Hi, In case of economy we are definitely growing. We have an elite defense which all of us can be proud. Our industries are booming. We have the biggest number of techies in IT industry. But the main problem is we should develop our army in a rapid manner are there are chances of attack from china or pakistan. Then no one can stop us from becoming the superpower. There should be severe punishments for anyone who is corrupt irrespective of his/her position, job, caste, creed, religion. People should be liberal in terms of religion. Religion only shows the way to God and its not the way to sent people to God.No god is superior or inferior.God is God.He is omnipotent, omniscient,Omnipresent. So no fighting in terms of God and religion. All should treat others as there brothers and sisters. Mera bharat mahan.
Personally I do not think that India can now become a superpower. There are many things right now to be rtaken care of by the government of India Like poverty, po[pulation control, corruption and nuclear power as well.. SO it is not possible as of now ..
very well said, our IT industry is best in the world, ours is a country with population avg is bellow 30 years, and along with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Nandan Nilekani also sees a bright future hidden in India. its true that our country will be the most populated one very soon in the near future, but its up to us to use it as a good Human Resource. But the biggest threat is from China, actually right now those people cannot speak english, so India is major country from which outsourcing is done by the other countries but once Chinese learn to speak english they will be competing with us and this could be a threat to our service class that is outsourced, BPOs etc so I believe that we should add value to ourself and should become the best in our services, we should also improve our educational standards and methods of teaching, and also produce good entrepreneurs to be economically well.
In my opinion India is in the verge of becoming a superpower. Only a little reformation in various aspects can make India a superpower. A little change in the society, politics and economic policies can turn the faith of India and make it a superpower. India is a developing nation and is soon to become a developed nation with these changes.
Indian has the potential to become a superpower as it has abundance of resources. India should concentrate and encourage the small scale industries and businesses to grow and progress as this will aid in increasing the production power of the nation, which will facilitate in economic growth and development of the nation. This will help India become a superpower soon.
