Self-esteem refers to the belief in our own abilities. Often, due to various environmental factors, we stop believing in our abilities or are unaware of them.

Some of the ways to build a healthy self-esteem are:-

    .Looking at your good qualities.

.Picking up a hobby that you are good at.

    .Surrounding yourself with positive people.

.Forgiving yourself for your past mistakes.

Developing a healthy self-esteem is a gradual process and takes time. Be patient and build it bit-by-bit!

One can be best if one believes in oneself. Self esteem can be referred to your thoughts, feelings, opinions about yourself. It is not pre-installed within us, since our birth. It is to be build up. It is a continuous and dynamic process of change in our thoughts. So, self esteem is to be built by us. Appreciate the abilities and qualities you have. Don’t let yourself down just because of a few lacunae. You will be the way you think of yourself. You are the sole creator and preserver of your self esteem, self respect, dignity etc. if you feel good about yourself, this world will recognize it soon too.

  3. There are many reasons why people might have low self-esteem. However, there are solutions to each of them. You just need to figure out what your niche is. Positive internal dialogue is a big part of improving your self-esteem. Instead of saying things like ‘I’m not good enough’ or ‘I’m a loser’ you can start to turn things around by saying ‘I can beat this’ and ‘I can become more confident’ by perceiving yourself in a more positive way.’

What are the reasons why people have a low self-esteem? Some of them are:-

    . A lack of self-belief.

. Being a victim of bullying. This is one of the major reasons why people suffer from a low self-esteem.

.Being a victim of unfair criticism.

    .Suffering from depression.

.Lack of acknowledgement of one's abilities. This could be due to a natural lack of self-awareness or could be created by the people in the environment.

What are the other possible reasons for a low self-esteem?
