Sigh! Perhaps only God can answer now that when this unending horrendous chain of rapes will stop? This has now become a vicious chain that apparently does not seem to have any end point. Not a few days went when a new brutal rape case against an innocent 14 year old girl had taken place. What a shameless act, and it made me wonder that what actually must be done to stop such heinous acts of rape. Not even a single girl is safe in the capital city now! Going out of the home is perhaps the most ferocious thing for girls and women; these days. No one could be trusted, where to go, where to hide, who should be asked for help is something that the girls' minds are always occupied with nowadays. However, this inhumane act of rape against that North East Indian girl has again sensitized the issue of discrimination and prejudices against the north east Indian women, but still it is not only about a particular race and ethnicity. We have been raising the point and voice in favor of the whole women race. And this recent case of rape has again pointed out the fingers towards our Administrative system and to our own selves. How disgusted it has become on the part of the administration that cannot provide security and safety to the women's race! And moreover, it is all about a holistic safer atmosphere provided to the women/girls at any given time. And for how long we all would be sitting with hand in hand and keep watching the injustice against the innocent girls? What is your stand on this matter?
