In the last few years Bollywood has done experimental projects that had presented a well defined contemporary picture of patriotism and the best part is that the young people were the first to admire those movies. Rang de Basanti, Chak De, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag are few of the movies that have created a long lasting impact on the young audience and also have illustrated Patriotism and invoked patriotic feelings in the people. movies are a good medium to sprout the seeds the of humanistic and patriotic feelings in the audience because for an viewer it is more than real. Bollywood should bring forth more of the projects that are based on life of real heroes, freedom fighters and great personalities of India because of whom we are Proud Indians today.

EArlier movies like meri Jung, and many hindi movies were made on the theme of national love and, recently in Bollywood I think after Rang de basanti and bhagat singh nearly no movies are made since 2007

It is wrong to assume that Bollywood is not inspired by patriotism. The trend of films shifted from Naya Daur, Mother India, Haqeeqat to more contemporary display of patriotism with films like Border, Lakshya and more. Even films like Dil Se and Mission Kashmir and Roja played significant roles in touching upon the vulnerable issue of terrorism in India. Although how unjustified it would be to say that Bollywood has lessened the production of patriotic films post-globalization. Films like Rang De Basanti, Swades, Lage Raho Munnabhai might not have exhibited patriotism in form of wars or strategies but it surely runs along the lines on how and in what capacity the present generation quantifies their nation. Also, films like Airlift, Baby, Black Friday, etc are some of the best examples of present times.

  4. Patriotism means to fight for the liberation of one’s own country from the burden of foreign rule. It includes true love and honest feeling for fellow men and passionate work for country’s progress. Bollywood has already released many movies that is inspired by patriotism. In 1965 Saheed was released which was completely based on freedom fighter Bhagat Singh lifestyle. Next comes the movie Border which purely showed the real life events that happened at Battle at Longewala. Gandhi movie focused the journey of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to India for getting freedom. Lakshya, Rang de Basanti, Mangal Pandey, LOC are some of the movies which are also inspired by patriotism.
