Big Boss is a TV reality show which is telecasted on the Indian TV channel Colours. The show is an Indian adaptation of the famous US TV reality show Big Brother. The concept of Big Boss is that a few celebrities are made to stay with each other in the same house which is well furnished and decorated and are isolated from the rest of the World. The one who survives till the end is the winner and every week an inmate of the house is voted out. The voting consist of nominating 2 inmates by the rest and the one who receives the highest nomination has to face the public voting. The Big Boss house is fitted all over with cameras and the inmates are watched by a mysterious person called the "Big Boss".
The big curiosity revolving around the Big Boss show is not so startling given our public's thirst for drama and hullabaloo. The debate is about whether it’s scripted or not but that not being the real concern, what actually is objectionable is the way the content has been premeditated since its inaugural. There are dodgy games, ugly fights, back-stabbing, ghoulishness and practice of a culture which is not only abhorring but also dangerous to how human psychology works. It is high time the audience stops watching these and stick to shows with constructive content.
Big boss is a reality show which is an interesting fad of modern society. These reality shows never show the average man as a contestant - they only show people at one extreme or the other of society. It's hard to believe, but these people with their personas actually exist outside of the show. The shows are concerned with ratings, so it is arguable that there is not much morality going into the production of the shows. There is also a very weird occurrence where the contestants and the audience get so biased into the show that they forget that, at the end of the day, it's still only a reality show.
