Delhi has always been a city of happenings and the weekend is the time when the recreational places, restaurants and markets are flooded with people and with too much of a rush. Being a parent we usually wonder where shall we take our children for outing on the weekend. Parents should always prefer to take their kids to a place that is enjoyable, comfortable and moreover which is worth visiting for them and also where the kids can learn and explore something new. There are some very good places where the parents can freely take their children for outing purposes. Such as :

The National Rail Museum : it is the museum situated in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. This is the museum that possesses India’s all trains and engine's static models galore.

The National Science Center : it is situated in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This is a great science museum that contains a vast gallery of Science, technology, human biology, life and fun sciences.

The International Doll’s Museum : it is located at the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi situated under the building of the Children’s Book Trust. This museum treasures numerous of dolls brought from the Asian and European countries.

Delhi’s Zoological Park : Delhi’s Zoo is situated near the Purana Quila, New Delhi. This would be a great place to visit with the kids. The kids would love to watch different animals, birds and reptiles.

Fun ‘N’ Food Village : It is situated on the Delhi-Gurgaon border and it is a wonderful recreational place to visit especially with the kids. The water park is the main attraction of this place along with many enjoyable rides and fun activities.

World of Wonders (WOW) : It is situated in the Great India Palace Mall, Noida. It is also one of the best options if one wants to go for recreational activities. There is a separate family zone especially meant for the kids where they can have their own time and enjoy to the fullest.

Metro Walk : Metro walk is situated in Rohini and having rides, boating and games for kids. Mini fountains are the attraction of the place.

Besides the places mentioned at above there are historical and religious places as well where parents can take their younger kids. Like Lal Quila, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Qutab Minar, Akshardham Mandir, Iskcon Temple, Lotus Temple, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and Chattarpur Temple.
