Protein is a quintessential element for the body since it helps in the growth and development of the human body. Protein is highly available in pulses, grains, soya and dairy products and following are the benefits protein gives to the human body:

Provides Amino Acid: human body requires essential as well as non-essential amino acids which the body is unable to produce on its own thus body needs amino-acids from the outside sources and protein rich diets are the source of the same. The body breaks the protein into amino acids and this is how the physiological function takes place.

Maintenance Functions: there are many maintenance functions for which the body requires proteins such a formation of blood cells, formation of antibodies, tissue repairing, cellular maintenance and similar.

Growth of Children: proteins help in the growth of muscles and the proper functioning of the eyes. A specific amount of protein helps immensely in the overall growth of the children.

Improves Muscle Mass: those who want to improve and increase their muscle mass are advised to take a protein –rich diet particularly the athletes, sports-person need to achieve such results and thus they consider a protein rich diet really helpful.

Weight loss: amino acids provided by the protein rich diet helps in boosting up the metabolism that further helps in losing body weight.
