    Dear All,
    Namaskar.
I am sending some facts of Bharat (India) and also attaching a proof regarding our education system, brought from India House Library, London

    1. One survey was done by a British officer William Adam during 1835- 1840 and found some facts which can be summarized as:

    i. Literacy of India was 97%. Gurukul system was declared illegal by British govt. under Indian education act, and literacy dropped. Macaulay was the main culprit for doing this (Letter attached).

ii. In only Madras Presidency there was 1.5 Lakhs Higher Learning Institutes and the no. of villages were 1.56 Lakhs. Institute includes 1500 Medical colleges, university etc…

iii. Steel production of India was 8 million tons, and the quality of steel was far better than Danish steel (world renowned steel) at that time. One village name Sarguja (now in C.G.) mentioned in that report was producing world best quality steel by the tribal people. Now very few small factories are still existing in Sarguja village and the steel produced by illetrate tribals has been tested in Metallurgy dept. of B.H.U. and found the almost same quality as TATA steel.

    ..... and many more.

Britishians has ruined our world best education system.

*Main important thing is that we are still following same Education Act made by Britishians. only 1% indian speaks english but all the top level central exams are conducted in English not in mother tongues of Indian states (Bengali, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, ....etc.). This is the same for us. That is one of the main reason that poor people (70%) are not able to join the main stream.

*All proof are available and credit goes to Sri Rajiv Dixit, founder of Azadi Bachao Aandolan, who did extensive research and collected 20 000 documents from Britain, India, and some other countries. I have also his lectures, any body interested can contact me.

i think the early systems of education were quite good in their art and techniques. but then it had its own pros and cons. if we were to continue that age old gurukul system, we would not be educated in english and india would not be progressing to this extent and competing with other countries.
