Zee News Security forces are in the look-out for over one lakh Bangladeshis who had entered the country legally and have gone missing. "Over one lakh Bangladeshis who entered India with valid passports and visa are traceless as on date," Meghalaya'a Additional Director General of Police Kulbir Khrishna said while speaking at a seminar 'Changes in Security Perspective of Indo-Bangladesh' here. He said the number of these missing Bangladeshis could be ascertained as they had valid documents. However, the total illegal migrants in India could be astounding, he said. Pointing that there was evidence to show the involvement of HUJI, which has proximity to Bangladesh's intelligence agency DGFI and Pakistan's ISI, in a number of terror attacks in the country in the recent past, Khrisnan said the porous border has fomented the movement of insurgent elements and illegal migrants. "The seat of power in Bangladesh is occupied by elements who comes from different streams of thoughts. This makes it further difficult to deal with the problem," he added.
Bangladeshis and Pakistanis are naturally Indian as well. Please let us hope that we all become ONE. AKHAND BHARAT !
Yes this is a issue of concern. India must seal whole Bangladesh border like Israel built a concrete wall along Gaza strip.
this situation is pretty grim but not a shock to me because india is a nation with lakhs of indians already missing and government is incompetent to do anything about it. if any foreign nationals are legally in india it is duty of indian government to protect them under its law and order and find them safely. i think government must wake up now and start working.
the situation seems funny because indian police is unable to trace out indian people who are missing since long time and there are complaints about bangladeshis missing. many of them are illegal immigrants who come into india and make their living. and most of them are also involved in illegal activities. government must take stern action against them
this is something astonishing to me as how can bangladeshis can go missing in india. gov officials should keep a track on illegal immigrants who are merely smuggled. this is really an alarming situation wherein gov officials should stand up and take the issue seriously as this could be a security threat to india.
This news would not be of much shock to the Indian nation because there are many Bangladeshis who come here without any passports and then become Indian citizens. In such a case there could be chances that these Bangladeshis may get involved into illegal activities or even go back to their own land. However it becomes the responsibility of India to seek them and bring them back safely.
