Organ donation is not yet a common thing in our country because a huge number of people aren’t aware of it fully thus they don’t believe in this. Every year many crucial cases are being tackled in our hospitals where the patients need liver, kidneys, heart or other significant organs to be transplanted. And due to the scarcity of organs many patients have to face unwanted death. Donating an organ is really a kind and a great act, the pain of losing a loved one due to a sudden death is beyond tolerance but it is a matter of wise thinking if the family members of the departed one give their consent to donate the organs in order to save another life. Who has passed away can never return back but at least by donating an organ to the needy they can willingly save a life. Every year there are many sudden deaths due to brain damage where rest of the other organs were in good condition. It is just a matter of choice the family makes at that time. Philosophically it is the fact that once the soul has left the body the body remains of no use but somehow if it can save a life then nothing is worthy than that. In India more than 800 counsellors are working in order to spread awareness regarding organ donation, they empathetically and very compassionately talk to the parents/family of the departed person about saving another life. Though it is a tough decision to take when the family is already going the trauma of losing one of the members still many families have had taken a wise decision to save another lives by donating the organs.
