Commenting on the changing traditions of India due to modernization ,many sociologists state that, "The height of present evidence seems to be to show that while modernizing influence are undoubtedly changing many aspects of Indian society and culture, they have not destroyed its basic structure and pattern. They have given Indians new alternatives and some new choices of life style, but the structure is so flexible and rich that many Indians have accepted many modern innovations without loss of their Indianness". They have, in other words, been able to combine choices which affirm some aspects of their cultural traditions with innovative choices.

While maintaining the traditional significance of life and values, modernization is just apprehended as an attempt on the part of people particularly those who are custom-bound, to adopt themselves to the present time, conditions, styles and ways in general. It indicates a change in people's traditional food habits. dress habits, speaking styles, tastes, choices, preferences, ideas, values and recreational facilities yet keeping the aesthetic essence of the culture at the core.

Being a part of the Modern Indian society, what are your views about this?
