United States in spite of losing the MMRCA deal is still much in d running in many other procurement deals manly the C 17 Globemaster deals that will provide many of its citizens employment. Is India appeasing US with these deals to get more deals like the Nuclear Deal pushed towards it or is US the best place for defense products ??

in my view its both the aspects involved. india has its best interest in defense deals with US because the products and services are of high quality. moreover it also strengthens the ties between the two nations. it is true that india is one of the reason for many jobs allocated because of these deals to the US men out there. in my view india should start its own public-private partnership with indian companies and concentrate in making its own state of the art weaponry.

india should not forget that it is getting the best american defence products which is obviously in the best interest of both the nations. in my view, if india wants to stop being reliant on big nations like america, it should develop and improve its R&D and innovate our own defence products so that india can also export products like america is doing..right now it is only that india wants to enjoy benefits from american technology so it is signing more and more deals.

India is getting its defense technologies and products from America spending huge amounts. This brings America huge profits and so it enjoys our defense deals. But this is not a good sign for India in future because we are going on the path of being a parasite on other country. We should rather concentrate on our own innovation and R&D so that we can have our own exquisite technology which we can sell to other countries and earn some good bucks!
