Is your current browser Internet Explorer (IE)? For over 60 per cent of Internet users it is? However, the most popular Internet browser also happens to be most vulnerable browser to hacker attacks. In fact it is the Internet explorer's popularity that makes it an ideal choice for hackers. So what options do you have if you are an avid Internet Explorer fan and have never ventured onto the web on a competitor's browser? Actually, a lot. There is a wide range of free, feature-rich internet browsers available to internet addicts and casual browsers that offer great (if not much better) alternatives to Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox Mozilla's Firefox browser has quickly become an industry favorite. With around 25% of the web browser market (in December 2009) the open source web browser incorporates tabbed browsing, advanced online security, password management, session restore, spell checking, one-click bookmarking, and a huge range of third-party add-on that let you completely customize your browsing experience. Google Chrome Google Chrome was made available to Microsoft Windows users in a public beta during 2008. A Mac version appeared in December 2009. Google's Chrome has been dubbed the 'Speedy Gonzales' of web browsers. It sports sophisticated security features and keeps a blacklist of phishing and malware sites, warning users before they visit sites suspected of being harmful to their computer. The browser combines the search and address bars into one for a cleaner (and more practical) graphical user interface and enables customers to completely stylize the browser with artist-created themes Opera Opera boasts re-sizable thumbnail tab browsing, Opera Turbo for high-speed browsing on slow internet connections, built-in email client, an in-browser spell checker, a real page zoom that lets you hone in on tiny fonts and pictures, and automatic security update downloading for safer browsing. Users can also synchronize personal data and browser settings over the web enabling for a personalized browsing experience across a range of different devices. Safari Safari is Apple's proprietary internet browser but that web-browsing platform can also be used on Windows-based PCs. The browser features a VoiceOver Screen reader that can read text on any website to you, enhanced keyboard navigation for mouse-free browsing, full page zoom, synchronized bookmarks and integrated bookmarks bar, automatic identification of your favorite websites displayed in graphic thumbnails, tabbed browsing, spell checking, grammar checking, built-in RSS reader, parental controls, pop-up blocking and advanced security and privacy. source : Infotech
IE is the most irritating. Of all the above, I have found Chrome & Opera highly stable and faster than other browsers.
Maybe!!! However, IE is the most hackable browser in use. Microsoft use the least security directive and come up with useless tools like IE8, which even takes a toll on our PC's memory. One reason to note is Chinese hackers hacking google email of Chinese Human Rights activists by exploiting a flaw in IE, very recently. Change to Chrome/Opera/Firefox now!!!
I use google chrome and it is really fast and simple. If you are using google gadgets like gmail, gtalk, orkut, youtube etc., google chrome is THE BEST!!
browser I have found Opera and Firefox working well on my system. Chrome has often crashed, and so has Firefox on occasions, but still, Firefox continues to be my favorite. I think Internet's latest one (IE 7 I think) is better than the ones before it but it is probably tailor made for Vista. For users with low-end computers like me, Firefox is the best one. However, I also have a very very old computer (only 128 Mb ram) and 40 GB HD with WIn ME that runs more or smoothly with IE, but slows down with Firefox. What are you guys' specifications, then perhaps we can have a better cumulative study of performances with respect to technical limitations?
i myself feel firefox is better than internet explorer because it comes with better security and more add ons to support various applets. internet explorer is more prone to hacking and is quite slow too. chrome on the other hand is faster than any web browsers.
there are loads of alternatives to internet explorer. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Epic Browser, Opera browser, Safari and many more. internet explorer is outdated and do not support add-ons which are available in mozilla. each browser has its own specialty so you need to chose according to your needs.
I find google Chrome is the best way to access internet apart from Internet explorer. In google chrome you will get many facilities like you can get easy access to open as many tabs as you want and you can also correct several mistakes with a red underline that correct the document.
the epic browser is indian browser and i think we should support it being indian. though google chrome and mozilla firefox are good competitors, epic browser offers nice surfing experience. but for the sluggish people, i advice google chrome as it is completely google search embedded and one need not open google search seperately
internet explorer is a good browser but it is more prone to attacks by hackers. the best alternatives to this browser would be google chrome, opera , epic broswer, safari, mozilla firefox.. apart from these there are some newer browsers launched which can be tried but they are not as reliable as these.
internet explorer is good but not the best. Google chrome is getting more and more popular due to the services that it provides. it provides the feature of spelling and grammar error and much more. People are using google chrome than other explorer.
Mozilla firefox is the best internet browser because it offers good scope of adding extra features. you can add add-ons, themes, plugins which you may not find in other web browsers. There are other technical add on features too which can be added as toolbars in mozilla firefox. You also get a web browser integrated download manager with mozilla firefox.
I use Google chrome, it's used to crash often before but now it is not showing any such problems and working very good. Mozilla is also a better browser and supports to many add-ons and works very fast and doesn't create any problem while working on it. Finally, Google chrome is good while there's no need of any discussion with internet explorer. People have their own choice and they get what they feel like, so choice is always yours!
Mozilla is a standard browser compared with other browsers. Mozilla is very good in supporting many add-on plugs in. Whereas Google chrome doesn't support so many plugs in and shows a lot of trouble in streaming videos. Internet explorer is the worst compared to Google and Mozilla.
In my view, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are the best way to access internet than Internet Explorer. IE has turned out to be vulnerable as it is easily accessible by the hackers. Firefox and chrome are comparatively faster and user friendly. Opera Browser is yet another better option than Internet Explorer and is also compatible in most of the mobile phone for accessing Internet.
