Adoni is the commercial center of Andhra Pradesh and is renowned for textile mills. The city is situated in the Kurnool district and has a rich history associated with it. The city is an ancient city whose existence dates back to the age of the Ramayana and has mythological tales are related to it. It is believed that Lord Ram during his Vanawas had visited this place. The city is renowned for arts and crafts and is also known as Town of Cotton or Grain Market of South India.
