Abu Azmi beaten up by MNS legislators inside assembly

MNS MLAs on Monday created a ruckus in the Maharashtra Assembly after SP MLA Abu Asim Azmi took oath in Hindi despite their call that all legislators take the pledge in Marathi with one of the members from Raj Thackeray's party slapping him.

Soon after Azmi began taking oath in Hindi, the 13 member-strong MNS contingent rushed towards Azmi, snatching the mike placed for taking oath at the podium.

MNS members shouted slogans, demanding that Azmi should take oath in Marathi.

The House was adjourned for 30 minutes as the pandemonium continued and soon after that MNS MLA Ram Kadam slapped Azmi.

Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and Energy Minister Ajit Pawar tried to restore calm in the House.

MNS Chief Raj Thackeray had last month announced that his party legislators would ensure that all MLAs took oath in Marathi.

"If any MLA does not take oath in Marathi, the House will see what happens," Raj had threatened.

Divide and Rule Politics

Raj Thakrey & his party are doing nothing but bringing shame on to this beautiful state of our country INDIA. The people here are extremely nice, but these useless people have decided to rule the country by dividing the INDIANS on caste and language basis. Shame on you MNS. But, we are not going to let this happen.

We all are one - INDIANS.​

Unity in diversity is a unique feature of India. All of us should abide by the constitution of our country. My freedom ends where it meets the freedom of my neighbour. I must accept the right of my neighbour to hold his own opinion on any issue regardless of my own opinion on the issue. Hindi is the national language of India. Hence prevention of any one, by physical assault or threat to life, to take the oath of allegiance to the constitution one's nation amounts to prevention of exercising the democratic right of the person concerned. I strongly condemn the behaviour of the MNS MLAs in Maharashtra Assembly and request all members of this forum to express their views.

Hi, I do fully agree with Joy and the act of beating an elected representative is uncivilised and Iam joining with Joy to condemn that.We are Indians and not uncivilised. We have got our own standards and we have to maintain that. MERA BHARATH MAHAN
 
The fact is MNS has 13 MLA which means more to come like this in future.
i feel Center should make some strong stand on the Lnaguage and regional issue as its not just MH which is burning in the issue there are many more states. If we dont do somthing on this right now then these some leaders using the soft corner of common man towords the language and region will devide this country.
Guys we need to do somthing on this But what? tell me if anyone has the solution
 
Really the MNS guys are playing political game be hero in Maharastra and if strong step will not be taken then it will cause great problem in future
 
MNS above the law? If not why should not these MLAs who are involved be dealt with strictly as per legal procedure and the law of the land as applicable to all Indians.?

It is time that those who matter start applying the "CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISIONS" or else REPEAL IT TO ALLOW INDIA BACK TO PRE RAJ ERA OF STATES, I would like to DIE before that'
 
Till when are we going to fight like this on the base of Hindi and other languages


Lets see how this problem can be solved?

I think center should make one law to solve this issue once and all but our politician dont want to make it as they will lose the vote.

In my point this should be the law

First language- Regional Language(Within state speaking,office work,etc)
2nd Language- Hindi(For state level communication,Interactions)
3rd language-English(To compete in International level )

It should be made mandatory to teach these 3 in every school, teaching medium can be English, Hindi or the regional but these 3 subject should be there.only by learning these languages and there history we can respect them and not by beating other in there name

The people who are involved in such activities must be strictly put before the law.

Those who are trying to destroy the multilingual community harmony of India will be thrown out by the people of India.They must realize that all other Indians do not think or do like what these mean minded people are doing for their vested interests.
 
MNS & Congress following divide and rule Politics.MNS is the biggest threat to the National integrity And congress govt has not taken any action against these bunch of goons in three years . congress and MNS both are equally responsible for this breeding hatred.Congress MLA Baba Siddiqui also took oath in English and not Marathi but Hypocrite MNS legislators didn't beat him Just because he belongs to the party which is MNS' Baap Ji in Maharashtra.
 
Where was MNS when North Indian Commandos were fighting terrorists in Mumbai

Just one question for MNS....where the party people went when commandos from all part of the country, including Northern India, were fighting terrorists during consecutive attacks on Mumbai between November 26-29..Why didn't they asked the Central government not to send Commandos from Northern Indian states and let only the Marathi Manush to carry out the whole operation? MNS is nothing more than a party of selfish people, who want to divide and rule the common man for their own benefits.
 
All political parties of Maharashtra State are coward except Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena ( MNS ) . If they could not protect themselves from so called MNS how they can protect the state people.

These type of enemy of nation should be damped into the sea.They have noting to do with the nation or the Marathis but they are playing with the sentiments of the Marathis just for their own sake only.No real marathi would never support such type of anti national behavior that too from the so called public representatives

No need to be so much orthodox about the language... the matter which oath narrates ..that is very importent and the person who abides by it to perform as a MLA
 
well! no more feels proud to be Indian when one witnesses such an uncivilized conduct.Its plain goondagardi. if the Indian government does not stop it now with a firm hand, very soon another terror group will get formed which will become a threat to civil liberties.

Today oath in marathi, tomorrow eat only bhakri,wear only nauwari sarees, next do not fall in love , do not hold hands, wear chappals only, and the list is endless. and the greatest sufferers of such groups activities are of course women and children. so i hope next time when they vote they remember that liberty is not charity but needs to be defended at all times.
 
In my view all Indians are equal irrespective of their religion , place of birth etc. If such a divide is made our diverse system will collapse. And That will ruin our country. Maharashtra Govt.should take effective measures to nip these activities in its buds itself.The culprits should be punished.The musty be considered as anti Indians and should be isolated.

Cut off all barriers which comes in uniting india

I am very much impressed by Indianyouth.net members view of this language issue of hindi marathi. I am in armed forces. at the time of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks i was at the scene of events. I witnessed the live incident. At that time I understood that we are one , but I have a question that why we wait for such a situation to prove that we are one.why don't we always be like one.If we live as an Indian then there is no chance that second Kasab or Headly will dare to even think of coming to India.In defence I met people from all parts of India, but belive me we all use to talk in Hindi only as we are Indian First so first we respect our national language.Similarly I request you should also make friends who thinks that they are Indian First and India First.

People like Raj Thackeray of narrow mind , poor thoughts and doing bad politics are barriers in our unity and United India.If such people do their work of separation in such a manner then really person like kasab is not required by our enemy.They will seed persons like Raj thackeray and form factories of MNS to grow such barriers who will among us , between us do the separation of our unity on the basis of language , Caste , Region and Religion etc etc. So I request all indians respect all languages , regions , castes but never forget that we are Indian First.
