Telecommunication industry where change is the only constant took only 9 years to call Third generation Technology (3G Technology) as an old concept. By the end of 2010, 23 international companies are all set to launch their fourth generation or 4G Technology cellular connectivity service. It is a transformed incarnation of 3G technology with more advanced features for interrupted connectivity, faster data sharing etc. In this direction, India is not lagging behind. According to a recent report, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is inviting opinion and views from all major mobile service providers of India in this direction. TRAI has asked the service providers to give their opinion on feasibility and sustainability of such an advanced technology where internet penetration is still moderate.

Telecom major Tata is a strong advocate of introducing 4G technology as soon as possible. According to Tata, when 23 international companies are going to launch this service by 2010 end, delaying the launch of 4G will be a setback to India’s IT and telecommunication revolution.. However, the fuss over 3G launch is still a mess in India. To be honest enough, launch and spreading of 3G cellular technology is going nowhere in India. The enthusiasm shown by the private players during the launch of this service has lost the steam and several scams and controversies have cropped up. In such a situation, the fate of introducing 4G Technology in next one year (by 2011) does not seem feasible.

It might be a bit late but 4G technology will have its presence in India. Once 4G Technology is there, the dimension of telecommunication and information technology will witness a significant transformation. Speed of 4G technology is 10 times faster than 3G. Along with, 4G technology can support live High definition TV. Now the dilemma before TRAI is whether to popularize 3G technology which is 10 years old or to step directly to the most advanced form 4G Technology.

here comes the end of 2010 and there is not a word of 4G technology. there are signs of 3G coming up these days that is in the end of 2010. india will need long time to spread 4G all over the country. india is still relying on the old 2G which is too slow. can it be possible that india leaps direct from 2G to 4G?? well then may be in few years india may have 4G.

:p big joke there!!... its 2011 and now services slowly started upgrading to 3G. there are many services which still havent switched on to 3G. and coming to 4G it has long time ahead to make place. in india things workout very slowly. almost bunch of years pass by and not a word is heard unless people yell and cry at government when they realize that yes they are lagging.

Telecom Industry has developed in India remarkably. The whole revolution in this sector stared with the introduction of 3G technology which is now been taken over by 4G technology. Airtel has launched 4G Technology in India recently. It is more advanced and faster than 3G technology, making the experience of internet browsing and video calling better and more faster.

After 3G technology, which has spread all over, the telecom sector has come up with 4G technology which is more advanced than 3G technology. Airtel has already launched 4G in India. This technology is advanced and more faster than 3G and is developed to enhance the user-experience.
