Fiat India is one company who has brilliant engines on offering but they just can’t get their cars right. The Linea is one brilliant car but the customers say that it is bit underpowered. Now bringing a solution to their problems, Fiat announced that they will bring the Linea with more power. Fiat showcased the more powerful Linea 125 S during the Auto Expo earlier this year.
The car is powered by the same T-Jet engine that powers the current Linea T-Jet but the power is bumped by 11PS to make it feel more powerful. Fiat is also upgraded the infotainment system.
Looks
From the outside, Fiat has not done too many changes to the existing car. The Linea 125 S gets a new blue exterior which is very elegant to be true. The car also gets 16-inch black finish alloy wheels. There is no doubt about the looks of Linea, it looks brilliant and the new additions just made it more desirable.
On the rear, Fiat has just added the new badge and kept it clean as before. Linea is a very elegant looking car but at the same time, many pair of eyes find it very ordinary. Well, it misses out on few strong creases and lines but it sure has what it takes to look classy.
Interiors
Fiat has done quite a few things around here. There is new infotainment system with 5-inch touch sensitive unit that also has navigation and doubles up as rear view camera display. The Linea 125 S also offers ambient light.
The built quality of the Linea is impeccable. The plastic and the fabric used are of very good quality along with exceptional fit and finish. Fiats are built to last very long and this car is no different.
With the new touch-screen infotainment system, you get the modern technology that almost all the competitors feature along with the sturdiness of Fiat.

Engine and Driving
The car is powered by the high performance 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that used to be available with the T-Jet but with bump in power. The same engine goes under the hood of Abarth Punto and Abarth 595 making much more power.
The engine is smooth but makes slight vibrations when revved hard. The power is very Linear and now feels adequate for the car.
Fiats have always been known as good driving cars. The steering has good feedback, the suspensions are rightly set for high-speed corners but ride through bumpy roads may give you a jitter or two. The Linea 125 S is a car for enthusiasts who do not care for dipping level of fuel in the tank and has been made that way too.
Should you buy it?
This is the most powerful sedan in the segment. If you feel underpowered in all other sedans then this is the only way to go forward. The Linea 125 S is not a bad choice. The only thing you will have to deal with is the dealerships. If you think you can handle the Fiat dealerships, make this car yours at just Rs. 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
