Hyundai Sonata has been present in the Indian car market for a long time now. This model has upgraded several times and managed to do reasonably well. Although it has not been able to perform as well as Honda Accord, it still has carved a niche for itself in the market. Loaded with features, extremely stylish and performance-oriented, this model has been appreciated for its comfort levels. In fact, due to its technological sophistication and class, this model has created a dedicated fan following. Great styling, superb power and technological advancement are the highlights of this luxury sedan.Sonata features a sharp design that is aerodynamically efficient and quite pleasing to the eyes. This car has Xenon headlamps that have cat-eyed shape, featuring High Intensity Discharge (HID). The chrome radiator grille is inspired by a cascading waterfall and is eye-catchy and conspicuous. Chrome grille, wraparound LED rear combination lamps and fog lamps accentuate the appearance of Hyundai Sonata. Furthermore, LED outside mirror side repeaters, fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, glass antenna and sporty chrome tipped dual exhaust make this Hyundai Sonata a great looker.

If there is one thing that Hyundai is good at, it is fitting models with features and Sonata absolutely personifies this fact. The South Korean auto maker has utilized the X-concept in designing interiors of Sonata. There is an advanced memory function that retains driver settings for a couple of set positions. In addition, the convenience of driver is ensured by the ten-way power adjustment function. Deluxe centre armrest, centre console, ventilated seats, 2-DIN MP3 audio system, tilt adjustable steering and 60:40 split rear seats.

Technology is the hallmark of this Hyundai Sonata as it is loaded with a number of convenience features. Cruise control is ideal for highways and is available only in automatic transmission. Rain sensor, seat warmer, push start button system, smart key, glass antenna and rear centre arm rest control are the main features of Hyundai Sonata. As far as safety is concerned, Hyundai Sonata is quite safe and stable, ensuring stability and security. Foot parking brake, safety power window, organ-type accelerator pedal, reverse parking sensor and electro chromic mirror with camera are key attributes. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) helps in detecting any sort of unusual movements by sensing input from the pedals. Hyundai has provided a total of six airbags, which are present in the front, side and back.

Hyundai Sonata is powered by a petrol engine that has a displacement of 2359 cc, which comes in both automatic and manual transmission options. The GDi engine helps this luxury sedan to deliver an output of around 200 bhp and top torque of 250 Nm. Given the segment it falls in and number of competitors that Hyundai Sonata has, this sedan is a great buy. Be it safety features, appearance, comfort or power, Sonata delivers on all accounts. The mileage is pretty decent and driveability is good as well. However, the lack of a diesel variant has been a reason why sales of this car have dipped a bit.  In addition, the price of this car is slightly high and considering that it Hyundai, some customers have been apprehensive about shelling out such a high amount.
