BMW G310R
Price: Rs. 1.8 lakh – 2.2 lakh
It is the first ever motorcycle developed by BMW and TVS together. The motorcycle will specifically target the developing markets like India. The motorcycle will be very affordable as it will be manufactured right here in India at the TVS Chennai plant. The motorcycle will get a long list of localised components, allowing BMW to price the motorcycle very competitively.
The BMW G310R will be powered by a 313 cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum of 33.6 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is also lightweight, making the riding experience much better. The G310R will also come with a lot of equipment like standard ABS. The sharp looking motorcycle will take on the likes of KTM 390 Duke.
TVS Akula 310
Price: Rs. 2.0 lakh – 2.2 lakh
The first fully faired motorcycle from TVS is one of the most awaited motorcycles in India. The motorcycle will be based on the BMW G310R but will get retuned engine and different components to aid its race-track focussed characteristics. The Akula 310 will also become the first motorcycle to feature ram air technology in a budget motorcycle.
The engine will be similar to the BMW G310R but will retuned extensively. The power figures are not known yet. TVS says that the motorcycle has been developed extensively on the track. The suspensions of the motorcycle are set-up for best track performance. It will be a great buy for motorcycle enthusiasts who want to start track riding. The motorcycle will be launched somewhere around February 2017.
Bajaj Dominar 400
Price: Rs. 1.9 lakh
It will be the flagship Bajaj model in India. The motorcycle was first showcased during 2014 Auto Expo and finally, it will be launched in the country. The Dominar will also be the most advanced and feature-rich Bajaj motorcycle till date.
The Dominar 400 will be based on the 390 Duke, on the same lines of Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS and KTM 200 Duke. The engine will be the 373cc derived but will get stronger low end power for better touring capabilities. It will carry a price tag of Rs. 1.6 – 1.8 lakh.
KTM 390 Duke
Price: 2 lakhs
KTM recently unveiled the 2017 model of the 390 Duke and it is nothing short of a technological advancement at its best. The motorcycle is scheduled to be launched in January 2017. The new Duke 390 gets some serious visual updates along with new equipment.
To start with, the new KTM 390 Duke now looks much sharper. The looks have been inspired from the 1290 SuperDuke with split headlamp.
The motorcycle also gets a bigger tank with new muscular tank extensions that makes it look extremely attractive. The Duke 390 also gets cleaner engine with Euro IV emission norms. The motorcycle gets an all-new all-digital instrument cluster with TFT screen. The screen also connects to the smart phone and shows notifications on the screen.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 401
Price: 1.7 lakh
The Swedish off-road motorcycle manufacturer will set foot in the Indian territory soon. Husqvarna will enter the Indian market soon and they unveiled their first road going motorcycle, Vitpilen 401. The naked street fighter will be manufactured in India at Bajaj’s Chakan facility alongside KTM motorcycles. The Vitpilen’s engine will be derived from the KTM 390 engine but it will retuned. Power figures are not known yet.
